IMAGES OF INDIGO ...

Dear readers, I am participating in Alphabe-Thursday where the colour INDIGO is unusual in that nobody seems quite certain what it is. Is it black? No. Ink blue? No, not exactly. QED A little difficult to define as you’ll notice in the range of indigo outfits below!

However, like the last rainbow colour discussed, blue, I adore indigo! Before we jump into a favourite old pair of faded jeans and tee though, let’s have our little couture-fix and take a look at some examples:

KEY:
1 Nina Ricci corset dress (above)
2-3 Nina Ricci – Bee Schaffer (below)
4-5 Balmain – Diane Kruger
6-7 Herve Ledger bandage sequin dress – Beyonce Knowles, Tiny, Bethenny Frankel, Teairra Mari
8 Gianfranco Ferre – Hayden Panettiere
9 Christian Cota
10 Herve Leroux – Anna Paquin
11 Stella McCartney – Liv Tyler
12Armani Prive – Anne Hathaway
13Alberta Ferretti – Mischa Barton
14 YSL – Penelope Cruz
15 Philip Lim – Jennifer Morrison, Lindsay Price, Liya Kebede
16 Brian Lichtenberg – Katie Cassidy & Paris Hilton
17-18 Alexis Mabille – Keira Knightley & Dita van Teese
19 Halo

Now, as for the natural world, here’s some delicious fruit:
And, as for the man-made world, where shall we start? Let’s kick things off with these:

Some indigo ink:
The Lady Varnishes…
And uses Indigo eyeliner…

I ADORE INDIGO! BUT WHAT ABOUT YOU – DO YOU LOVE IT OR HATE IT? AND COULD YOU WEAR ANY OF THESE DESIGNER OUTFITS?

Do tell me! And do check out other Alphabe-Thursday posts @ Jenny Matlock´s great site! And, finally, thank you to all my dear readers and also new followers who visited or commented last week! Have a great weekend and see you again for Six Word Saturday!
Enjoy!
XOXO LOLA:)

Hi Nora and Lola,

Love all these elegant indigo coloured dresses you have shown.
My favourite is the Armani Prive that Anne Hathaway is wearing.
Also the Balmain is a fabulous fairytale dress.

Hope that you are having a great week

Oh yes, I adore indigo. My latest designer bag purchase is indigo :). YOu know what I like about it? While it is a strong and definite colour, it also works as a neutral. It goes with everything.

In my mind that Balmaine dress is what I envision indigo to look like. Isn't that just a gorgeous piece of wearable art?

What a delicious post of indigo eye candy!

Thank you for linking.

Even after writing my post that sort of rants, I have to admit that I do love indigo (whatever it is!) So many shades here.

Anne Hathaway's dress is a knockout. But again, I couldn't wear any of them. However, if I had the body...

=)

I loved Anne Hathaway's dress. So beautiful! A lot of them I really liked. I used to wear blue mascara.

I love indigo also, such a deep, beautiful color. The dresses are gorgeous, but numbers 11 and 12 are my favorites. Just stunning. Would I wear them? In a heartbeat about 20 years ago LOL

Indigo is such a sophisticated colour - as is another favourite of mine, dove grey. Oh Nora, imagine being a model and being all long and slinky. It must be a fabulous feeling to parade around turning heads.
