The other day, I read a snippet from the recently published second volume of the diaries of former UK Labour MP, Chris Mullin:
"(The film Director) David Puttnam's final outing as Chancellor of the university. A delightful man. One of that small band of life enhancers of my acquaintance… Merely to spend company is to come away refreshed."
This got me thinking. Who, to follow Chris Mullin's example, are people I know who I would describe as 'life enhancers'? My family, my P.A. Nora (though utterly inefficient!) and, er, too many friends and blogpals to list here…They’re all people I'd happily be stuck on a desert island with.

Now who you would describe in the same way... Could be pets (like the canine on the Mulberry label catwalk for current London Fashion Week above) or someone you haven’t met but admire (like the Pope who’s just completed a State visit to the UK, your own Head of State, or a “personality” like Subo below!) Do let me know! Happy Ruby Tuesday and Rednesday! And do visit other Ruby Tuesday and Rednesday posts! (Links at Work of the Poet and Sue loves Cherries.)
Enjoy!
XOXO LOLA:)
PS Have a good week and see you again for Alphabe-Thursday!

I'd pick any number of the interesting people I've met on blogs - we wouldn't soon run out of things to talk about.
I've never thought this way, but in my life there are so many life enhanchers, it would be unfair to name one above the other.
First and foremost my family; I have had the luck to grow and and age with so much love around me.
I also have some great friends, where Ilive and in cyber space who enhance my life every day.
The church, the nature and God, creator and caretaker of every little dust grain in this immense, vast universe.
Oh, Nora, do you really want me to write a book?
I'm feeling rich, and teach Mary and the participants of Ruby Tuesday are indeed adding color and joy to my life.
I would have to say the higher power above first and foremost...family and then close friends. Okay, maybe Ralph Lauren and Anthropologie after that. Lol!
For me my God, husband, family, friends, blog friends, and a lot more is my life enhancers.
Like that bag and shoes on the first photo ^_^ Happy Monday!

My family, friends, and pets - Yes. Politicians - No!
Oh, blogpals, family, children and yes, some public figures. I could go on and on! 8-)
There are loads of wonderful people who enhance my life, my parents, my blog pals, but most importantly, its Mr P.
*kisses* HH
Same with everyone -- family, blogpals and close friends. No to politicians.

Yes, apart from family and friends there's some celebrities I admire. In Burma, Ayung Syong (mispelt probably!) and in theUK Dame Vera Lynn & Shirley Bassey-both troopers!
Ditto above-except it's my cats and dogs as well that lighten up my life!Plus a few pairs of designer shoes! lol
Mainly the family and a few close friends -certainly nobody from work or politics! Interesting topic...
I think Michelle Obama would be great company on a desert island. Lots of bloggers come to mind. Anyone with a good and kind heart and a lot of interesting stories.
for me my dad,bec he past away 20yrs ago.

Thanks to all those life enhancers, my life is much better. No matter how they can be irritable or efficient, it's good to know they stuck with us all through our struggles.
Hello...
What an interesting thought! My "life enhancer" is my husband! He makes everything worthwhile for me! I just adore him and love spending time with him! He's my best friend!!! And...you know, my blogs are just chock full of "life enhancers" guess that's why I'm so hooked on blogging! I am always inspired by all of the creative and talented people here in blogland! Thanks for sharing this thought with us today...and for asking!
Warmest autumn wishes,
Chari @Happy To Design
