LOLA! You're back!

I didn't *know*! The mother of all colds had me in a twilight zone (and my brain total mush) for six weeks, and I only returned to Blog Land a few days ago.

Wonderful to see you again too, Nora darling. (-:

(thanks for changing the track - although John Cale's is my favourite version of this classic Lenny song)

Can't wait for the movie! I can understand the sentiments in your last post. I don't really remember enjoying AiW as much as a child, but I think Carroll's work is probably more understandable from an adult's perspective. So much of the surreal and bizarre is overwhelming and confusing for a child who wouldn't understand the layers of what he's trying to achieve in his writing. But to be honest, many truly fictional tales (even fairy tales) tend to scare children more than they enchant them.

P.S. I completely agree with your view on luxury designers and their lack of being unique now. It's such a shame that everything, even expensive stuff, needs to be mass produced and has reached such global expansion.

I love Helena Bonham Carter! She and Johnny Depp would make the perfect goth couple ;o) I really enjoy films that have the two of them together, like Sweeney Todd (although a tad bit gory)! I'm looking forward to AiW!

I can't for this movie to come out on DVD - so I can watch it over and over again. Johnny Depp and Tim Burton - does it get any better?

btw, has any Late Late Show fan but me noticed when His Yumminess CraigyFerg arises from the fountain in the opening of the show, he looks A LOT like that SUPER-yummy Daniel Craig?

just wonderin'

I know I won't go to the movie because I think it would scare me. I am a big scaredy cat about disturbing stuff. It's part of my whole keep-my-head-in-the-sand lifestyle - ha!
