A LITTLE OF WHAT LOLA DOESN'T LOVE! ~ 'G' IS FOR GREED!

Today’s Alphabe-Thursday’s letter is ‘G’ and, continuing this week’s Alice in Wonderland theme, what could be more appropriate for a smoke and mirrors regime like Robert Mugabe’s operating with impunity in the 21st century than ‘G’ is for GREED!

Robert Mugabe will celebrate his 86th birthday tomorrow with a lavish £325,000 party to be broadcast live on Zimbabwe’s state television. Guests will enjoy lobster, prawns and caviar to be washed down with bottles of Johnnie Walker Blue Label and Chevas Regal whisky while his poverty-stricken country starves and four in five of his country's young cannot afford to go to school.

What are your views? What should (or can) the world community do?

Mwah!

XOXO LOLA:)

Well, Lola, where to start with Mugabe's dictatorship? Spare a few hours?

The worst regime in the world - even worse than N Korea's & Iran's. That's my view. What do you think?

Words fail me to describe my opinion of this monster (and his wife)!

He seems to have outwitted all diplomatic efforts and beaten the system. Don't know what more could be done - looks like he's there for life.

Disgusting! Where is my invitation to his party! No seriously, the man is bad news but at that age, hopefully he won't be the Countrys leader for too much longer.

I'll never understand this.. how can you enjoy something, while children go without.. Greed is alive and well in the world.. I wish it wasnt' but this proves that it is... thanks for making us aware!

Doesn't it seem like the bad people always live forever? That said, the prosperity inequality in our country is nothing to crow about, either.

The west has its own 'greed' to sort out, two wrongs can't help each other, it would be hypocrical!

I can't even begin to express myself on this topic ... the rant lasts quite a while ... shame shame on anyone doing business or befriending this poor excuse for a human being

Greed is one of the worst qualities with people in power.

Sometimes I can forgive stupidity more then I can gluttony.

This was a thoughtful post.

And a frustrating one.

So hard when so few have a voice.

A+

I guess I have to read up on him. I'm usually up on world affairs but I don't know about him. Thanks for making me aware.

My heart just felt very bad about this. What we can do sitting at our places is not enough. The most we can do is help others around us, and I don't mind doing it any time.

I guess, for myself, I know that greed comes in "small" forms and large. And I need to guard my own heart.

it is shameful and disgusting and I hate this kind of injustice....some people are souless and evil and he calls himself a leader.......

I'm afraid greed will always exist and he's convinced himself that he's better than most of his countrymen and entitled. I don't have an answer, but I wish I did.
