THE MASSACHUSETTS COASTLINE

THE MASSACHUSETTS COASTLINE
You can sunbathe, fish for marlin or whale watch in the bays – but you can’t escape the ghosts of the Pilgrim Fathers of Plymouth and the Puritans of Boston, of John Adams and John Kennedy - all reminders of the unique position Massachusetts has occupied. Unique from a maritime perspective too, because it was from here that America began to spread its influence and interests all around the world. Without doubt a place full of memories.

WHICH PLACE HAS SPECIAL MEMORIES FOR YOU TOO?

Do let me know! Happy Ruby Tuesday to everyone in Australia, New Zealand and the Far East where it’s already Tuesday!
And do visit other Ruby Tuesday posts! (Links at Work of the Poet.)
Enjoy!
XOXO LOLA:)
PS Have a good week and see you again for Alphabe-Thursday!

It would have to be Kingston, Ontario - where I first met The Great Dane, went to high school, learned to drive, had my first car etc etc
It's also Canada's first capital and present home of the two cutest little grandsons in the world!

For me, my first trip to Paris. Loved it all-food, fashions, even the smell of garlic & gauloises everywhere!

For me, probably Hyde Park. I have so many lovely memories of afternoons spent there with Mr P :D. Just thinking about it gives me a smile.

What a great shot! Not that I'm biased, being a Massachusetts guy. ;)

My "special places" are all mountainous, be they New Hampshire's Whites or the Sierras of California. But that shot makes me long for the coast!

Hi Nora and Lola,

Happy Ruby Tuesday, dear friends.
Love the beautiful photos you have shared.
Happy memories for me... probably the very small town that I grew up in and Paris would have to be up there.

Happy week
Hugs
Carolyn

I have to admit, being from the Bay State, that there's nothing like the Mass coastline! Cape Cod is so special! Of course, I also have fond memories of the two years I spent in Brussels!

Gorgeous photos! I would love to see MA! The beaches of So. Cal. have been the back drop to many events in my life and hold many precious memories.

Happy Rednesday,
Sally

If the actress in the first thumbnail, wearing the maroon dress is the star of The Closer, she wears it well.
