BLUE IS FOR ...

Dear readers, I am participating in Alphabe-Thursday where BLUE is, apparently, the world’s most popular colour – both in the natural world and that of fashion.

As for fashion, unlike the previous rainbow colours we’ve considered, I adore blue! Before we jump into a favourite old pair of jeans and tee though, let’s have our little couture-fix and take a look at some examples:

KEY:
1 Michelle Obama, Vogue Jan 2009 (above)
2 Versace ~ January Jones (below)
3 Versace ~ Eva Longoria
4 Temperley, London
5 Temperley ~ Jennifer Lopez
6 Bilingual
7 Bilingual ~ Paris Hilton & Rachel Bilson
8 Elie Saab ~ Dita van Teese
9 Louboutins (close up) ~ Dita van Teese
10 YSL ~ Kristin Scott & Diane Kruger
11 Roberto Cavalli ~ Nicolette Sheridan
12 Oscar de la Renta ~ Jennifer Morrison
13 Preen ~ Rihanna
14 Alexander McQueen
15 A McQueen ~ Marisa Tomei & Fergie
Now, as for the world of art, here’s a recently sold blue Picasso:
And, as for the natural world, where shall we start? Let’s kick things off with these:
Nasa images from satellite:
Blue flares from sun (solar tsunami):
Bear protecting its privacy from photographer:
Moon jellyfish:
I ADORE BLUE IN ANY SHADE FROM POWDER BLUE TO NAVY! BUT WHAT ABOUT YOU – DO YOU LOVE OR HATE IT? WHICH IS YOUR FAVOURITE IMAGE? COULD YOU WEAR ANY OF THESE DESIGNER OUTFITS?

Do tell me! And do check out other Alphabe-Thursday posts
@ Jenny Matlock´s great site!
And, finally, thank you to all my dear readers and also new followers who visited or commented last week!

Have a great weekend and see you again for Six Word Saturday!
Enjoy!
XOXO LOLA:)

Tremendous nature images - those jelly fish, Nasa shots and the solar tsunami! Not to mention the bear... Good for him!

For the colors...midnight blue or peacock blue, either one is amazing.

For the dresses...I'd take any, as long as you supply me with the body to fit in them. Although with a couture gown in hand, I think I could be persuaded to put down the banana pudding.

Wonderful blog. Thanks for contributing to this stay-at-home mom's secret fashion obsession.

All of those lovely ladies look stunning in Blue.... I especially loved First Ladies:)

Those blue gowns are gorgeous, and I love most of them. Cameron Diaz has an amazing color on, I think, though I couldn't wear the dress myself.

I also love Hallelujah.

=)

Stopping by from Rainbow Blue School party!! I do love blue. It is just soothing and can be gorgeous too! Just look at those dresses!

I used to have royal blue patent pumps in the 1980's that I wore to work. I got so many compliments about those shoes and still wish I had them today! Not sure they would be in style...

Hi Nora...I think all of the blue dresses are stunning. I'm told that a blue green is one of my best colors. If my body type looked like any of these women and would be happy to wear any of the selected dresses. Unfortunately, that ain't the case...lol.
Thanks so much for sharing with us.

I'm sure I could wear any of those outfits just so long as I had my blue eyeshadow on!!!!! Thank you for visiting.

Oh! OH! I love the ruffles! And I love blue! Any blue. But I never wear it. Isn't that strange?
The photo of the jellyfish uses the blue to peaceful effect. Nice.

Haha, the polar bear photo is so cute!

Outfits I didn't like and I don't quite know why:
Number 2 and 5.

Outfits I like: 2,3,6.(Some are so simple and chic, and some are just gorgeously stunning)

Have a pleasant day =3
