'P' IS FOR PREPOSTEROUS SHOES!

Dear readers, I am participating in Alphabe-Thursday where ‘P’ is for PREPOSTEROUS SHOES (AND SOME OF THEIR OWNERS?)

I have quite narrow feet that would simply slide out of some of these creations with the result I’d collapse into an untidy heap on the floor!

What’s your view? How important is fashion to you? Would you put yourself in the shoes of some of these women even if they (hang on, the shoes!) were killing you?

KEY TO SHOES & THEIR OWNERS!
1 Vuitton - Victoria Beckham
2 " - Michelle Monaghan
3 " - Mischa Barton
4 Louboutin - Gywneth Paltrow
5 " - Heidi Klum
6 Margiela - Sarah Jessica Parker
7 & 8 Balmain - Audrina Patridge
9 Bottega Veneta- Jennifer Goodwin
10 Sergio Rossi - Zoe Saldana
11 Gucci - Kate Hudson
12 YSL
13Dior

14 Roger Vivier

DEAR READERS, WHICH SHOES DO YOU LIKE MOST AND LEAST? AND DO YOU PUT FASHION BEFORE YOUR FEET?!
Am off now for a run in trainers (and, no, not after the icecream van!) Have a great Alphabe-Thursday! And check out other great Alphabe-Thursday posts @
Jenny Matlock’s great site! And thank you so much for all the comments, new followers and visits.
PS See you for Six Word Saturday this ... Saturday!
XOXO LOLA:)

I would not. I would kill myself trying to walk in any of those. I'm not much of a fashionista anymore. I'm more for comfort now LOL.

i just had knee replacment surgery and the shoes I like are the ones that are comfortable! I would never, ever wear any of those silly shoes. Don't even know how they could possible be comfortable.

Thank you for your kind comments and for inviting me to your blog. I couldn't wear any of the shoes on your blog as I have wide and ugly feet! I'm all about comfort not fashion, and I wonder how those women can even walk in some of the creations they are wearing!

I love shoes and am very proud of my teeny weeny feet. The thing is that they are wider than the average small foot and I have a lot of trouble buying shoes.

As for all those photos - how wonderful to have film star legs (unless they are Lassie's)

I love fashion, but i hate pain more. I don't think i'd look very fashionable with high heels and a bloody nose daaaaahling, so i gotta pass on those shoes.

I love to collect shoes...;Some weeks ago I bought ARCHE shoes, expensive but so elegant. When I was young (lol)I also bought shoes on wich i could hardly walk, now I choose comfortable and elegant shoes.

And I also ADORE Leonard Cohen, sooooooooooo sexy.

Feet before fashion, hands down. Sneakers, hiking boots, and Birks all the way.

Thanks for dropping by my Pathetic post. There was no email address so I tracked you down here.

Very cool post.

Cute post. I have always been into fashion somewhat, but I cannot wear heels anymore. They kill my old feet!
Thanks for coming by!

LOL! They are all pretty ridiculous! And I can't believe people pay so much money for them! No, I would not wear them. I don't want my toes to go numb 5 minutes after I put on my shoes. But to each his own.

OMG!! Adorable post as usual!! I love your cool style girl:) Anyways I would TOTALLY wear these gorgeous shoes...Unfortunately though I have the weirdest feet from years of playing soccer and running. I have broken every single toe at least once and my feet are kind of duckish:) So if my lil funky monkey feet could fit into them and I had a pocket full of money I would totally be down! I think I like Gwenyth's the best...so elegant:) We totally need to do some international shoe shopping!

Whatever works I say!!! I will take my jeans and whatever comfy pair of shoes I have laying around...lol..

I love shoes but sadly can't wear anything high! That doesn't stop me getting lots of colour though. I love to co-ordinate my shoes with my outfit.
When I was a headteacher, the children would comment on my shoes when they were sat in assembly!

Most of these are ridiculous, if not outright atrocious. But I do love the Gucci and the YSL. My daughter Imelda, I mean Cait, is the shoe fanatic in our family. I prefer flip flops or no shoes at all :) Kathy

I am a sneaker teacher. No way would I subject my feet to such misery...lol

Great P post....I just don't know what they see in those shoes....I guess I am too old to recognize fashion....yuck.

I have to say that IF I ever become famous and have to dress stylish I am making you help me!

I thought I was rocking when I got some Keens!

I admire people who can wear this fashion well.

But, sadly, it's not me!

As always, though, I adore stopping here on my little journey through Alphabe-Thursday!

You just fascinate me!

A+

These are gorgeous except number 6 & 12. These people are already tall so I don't see why they need to torture themselves..But, It's okay to wear these shoes for a special event =) I would make a shoe museum for these shoes =D

Hi Lola and Nora,

VB's look like her boys have glued some of their toys to the shoes. Sorry.
I have often worn shoes that have hurt my feet and wonder why!

I hope that you are having a lovely weekend

I hate buying shoes - I'm built for comfort not fahion these days! About time somebody designed a pair for us with cankles who still like nice things!! Thanks for your comments on my blog - much appreciated! x

Love your site; found you through Six Word Saturday, but was captivated by your shoe post. P is for Precarious.

Most of these styles are for the 'driven' rather than the 'walking,' and most NYrs walk. A lot. Don't like SJP's hoof look, I'd feel like cattle. I love shoes that make me feel pretty but my feet like comfort so usually I end up with something pretty comfortable. Thing is, the more I go for feeling good the less tolerant are my feet of high-style. The only thing I always want on my feet is a good pedicure, so thank God it's Spring.

I see that you’ve visited SB&C. Thanks for stopping by!

Some of those are pretty and some are pretty crazy. I am fairly tall and have always chosen comfort over fashion (no heels). But then I don't get my feet taken pictures of.

RNSANE said...

Frankly, I don't like any of them...and, at 65, I can no longer wear the high heels I used to love. These styles are never ones I would have chosen, even in my youth!!!

Personalized Sketches and Sentiments said...

Ew! to #1,2,and 3...they actually look pretty much alike with too much added embellishments. I like heels, but Kate Hudson's are like stilts! Her photo looks pretty stretched out...I wonder just how high these ones are?

Actually, if I wear flats for too long (unless there is some arch support, my feet start to ache.

Blessings & Aloha!
(I am finally getting a chance to catch up on blog reading! Thank you so much for stopping by and for your comment...please do pop on over any time :o)
