I've always thought that Audrey Hepburn was the very essence of style. I'm at the other end of the spectrum, but it doesn't stop me from appreciating it in other people!

Great "Y" post...

Well, I am partial to those black capri pants and top from Grease!

But, I would have to say my favorite dress in any movie I have ever seen is the white dress Elizabeth Taylor wears in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. That dress and that simple diamond solitaire necklace are the essence of 'woman'.

Fun post for Y!

I love EVERYTHING Audrey Hepburn EVER wore. And the Grease costumes were fun, too.

My vote is for Audrey Hepburn in her black Givenchy gown. Also Breakfast at Tiffany’s is one of my favorite movies yet today.

Oh yes, the worst in my book is Raquel Welch's cave girl get-up.

Do love those things Audrey wore but my favorite period for fashion in the movies is the 1930's. For instance, Myrna Loy in the Thin Man movies. Ginger Rogers, Katherine Hepburn, etc. Love those clothes!

I like the period wear in Grease, the movies and stage versions feel like the 1950s (even as a baby at the time :). Actually, I think that Rex Harrison in the tweedy suit, not at all a costume, truly looks like a classy English gentleman despite not being a costume. Hepburn is all class in that dress and cigarette holder - I know we shouldn't smoke, but the long holder is just too cool!

A great range of costumes! Most are familiar to me except Keira Knightly's! Love the stylish flow of that beautiful green gown!

Yello!

Ummm...

Yippee???

Yeah, Yippee is way better than Yello!

Isn't it amazing that Raquel Welch had the body before there were 'enhancements'?

This is a fun link for Alphabe-Thursday's letter "Y".

Thank you!
