My all-time favorite movie is White Christmas but, out of this list, I like Singing In The Rain and Seven Samurai.

Your Rednesday selection of shoes is insane! And ugly, except for the glass shoes - they're pretty!

I've seen an embarrassingly few of these films. Guess I'll have to order some of these for the winter.

Shawshank redemption.
Love it!

Maybe Brave, or, Bridge to Terribithia.

I've never seen Vertigo, but I still remember how scary I thought Alfred Hitchcock's TV show as in the 1950s. It would probably scare me to watch.

I don't know about old movies, but I just saw Argo and it was very good. Definitely a "must see" movie.

My fave movies come in categories - I can't pick just one!
Fave comedy - Some Like It Hot
Fave Sci-Fi - War of the Worlds (original version with Gene Barry)

Hitchcock fave - The Birds

and the list goes on and on, and so have I.
Excellent V post!

Always hard to say what's my favorite movie (book, food, place, etc)...it always depends on the mood I'm in at the moment. Although Vertigo definitely is up there on the list!

When I was young I saw so many films, some of my all time favorites are Showboat with Kathryn GRayson and Howard Keel, The greatest show on earth with Betty Hutton and Jimmy Stewart and all the dance films with Gene Kelly and Fred AStaire and what about Grace Kelly and Audry Hepburn and my favorite was Doris Day. I loved her. I still have 70 photo's of her. In my days we could buy these moviestar cards. Those were the days. LOL Now I watch the movies on TV.

Gosh. Picking a favorite movie is like picking a favorite book or song.

Like I tell my kids, "You are all my favorites!"

Thanks for a very fun link for the letter "V".
