CATWALKS ...

Dear readers, I am participating in Alphabe-Thursday where ‘C’ IS FOR *C*ATWALK!
Are you influenced each season by what you see on catwalks? Do you, ahem, ‘interpret’ catwalk designs yourself? Or are you maybe attracted by partnerships between designers and high street stores - often H & M. Like their latest link up – with Versace (below).
Anything here you fancy/ could pop out to the local supermarket in? ARE YOU INTERESTED IN FASHION/THE LATEST TRENDS? OR DO HAVE YOUR OWN INDIVIDUAL STYLE?
Do check out other Alphabe-Thursday posts @
Jenny Matlock!
And, finally, thank you to all my dear readers who have visited or commented. Have a great weekend!
Enjoy!
XOXO LOLA:)
PS I’ve no idea of the provenance of the image at top. If you do, let me know and I’ll be happy to add the credit!

I wonder why it's a catwalk and not a dog walk. Missed you and Lola.

My five-year-old daughter is destined for the fashion world, I do believe. Many of her wardrobe creations look like those in your catwalk pictures! =>

I love fashion and catwalks

I love looking at all the beautiful clothes, but I am a jeans and t-shirt and cowboy boots person. My horses would probably laugh at me if I showed up in a dress!

Hehehe! I have never been tall so have always known I could dress like that successfully.

Catwalks are always so interesting to see. The fashion they have there are just too crazy sometimes :) I think of them as walking art museums because sometimes they do look like works of art!

Hi Lola and Nora,

I do love Fashion but now and again I think some of the designers clothes are not for me.
Hope that you are enjoying your week

I'm afraid the clothes you see on the catwalk would look kind of strange on an almost 66 year old woman who would break her neck if she wore heels.

What a great C word!

I'm the antithesis of the fashionista..but I DO love Project Runway. Does that count?! ;)

I am rarely influenced by catwalk trends, though I adore fashion. I just like to buy what I feel suits me and what I like. I don't want to be a fashion victim. Catwalk clothes can appear a little silly on the street.

I can't imagine trying to walk down that narrow walk.

Catwalk to me is like window shopping. I love to look but can't touch or wear. Still...it is great window shopping!

I can write about a different kind of Catwalk too. Perhaps you'd like to take a peek?

Even though I am an old chick I do try to shake things up and stay current to I don't look dated.

At least I can do somethin' about my wardrobe! Heeehehehe!

God bless and enjoy this wonderful day sweetie!!!

I'm so far out of the fashion demographic that I might as well be in a different solar system. I'm all about comfort and easy care!

I'm not a catwalk fashion girl, but it is fascinating. I'm more of a jeans and a tee girl. Great word! I like your blog background too. Is it new?

Hey Lola! Long time no "C"...pun totally intended!

You know, out of all the catwalk photos above, I must say I like the colorful sneakers with skirts combo.

A captivating C post for sure. Well done!

Sadly, nothing there for this shorty - the heels alone give me vertigo!

I definitely have my own style, and so does my Best Friend Artist. When I want something different to wear, I raid her closet.

To the Toy Box and Beyond said...

who actually wears that stuff?

Ames said...

Maybe when I was a teenager. I've never been a slave to fashion. I know friends that are broke but buy the most expensive latest and greatest. I wear what I like, what's comfortable, and simple but tasteful in design. I think the classics never go out of style. Let' the yougin's wear the Haute Couture catwalk style.~Ames

Beautiful photos! When I was younger yes, but now I would rather wear clothes that are simple and comfy.

Well, I like the reds, but I can't say that I like the fashions!

CLAD IN RED

Whenas in red my Julia’s clad,
Then, then (methinks) she’s wicked bad—
Like Hester Prynne, but not so sad.

Next, when I cast mine eyes and see
Those crimson skirts flow full and free,
Her sweet seductions taketh me!

The fashions today were not designed for me. What a strange combination of dresses and the shoes.

I do have fun looking at the fashions, especially since my daughter is so fashion-conscious. But I'm a very boring dresser, and should be on What Not To Wear!
Happy REDnesday and Happy Thanksgiving!

I could go on a frumpy cat walk! Or then I guess it would, technically, be a dog walk. ha!

Thanks for a cool link to the letter "C".

I'm always inCuisitive to see what you come up with!
