SHH! THE SECRET INGREDIENT IS ...

The secret (branded) ingredient!
It seems many good cooks ( and chefs too!) swear by an unusual branded ingredient which they add to the mix when making traditional dishes. Ingredients like Ketchup, Lea & Perrin’s Worcestershire Sauce, Marmite, Horlicks, Philadelphia cream cheese, Campbell’s soups...

Do you have a secret (or recipe) to share?

Happy Ruby Tuesday & Rednesday!
And do visit other Ruby Tuesday & Rednesday posts! (Links at Work of the Poet & Sue Loves Cherries.)
Enjoy!
XOXO LOLA:)
PS Have a good week and see you again for Alphabe-Thursday!

Can it be added to dog food as well?
If I have a choice it would be coconut oil or coconut milk. It taste good and smell yummy. But that's just me.

I believe is using common branded items in creating things that are good. Heinz ketchup works in sauces and marinades, so despite being a common ingredient, is quite useful and adds taste!

You caught me! I use good old Lea and Perrins. In fact I've had to find the vegetarian version for my son who is allergic to the anchovy in the orginal.

Well, since I am a Kansas City girl, it's got to be barbeque sauce. I use it in my baked beans, turns out yummy.
Great red post.
