THANKSGIVING!

Dear readers, I am participating in Alphabe-Thursday where this week I am celebrating Thanksgiving with all my dear American friends!

Here are a few images, firstly a traditional meal and all its trimmings:

And some familiar sights of the season:
And some of the families celebrating:
And for some perhaps a less happy time of year:
How will you be celebrating this year, dear readers? Do tell me!

And do check out other Alphabe-Thursday posts @
Jenny Matlock!
Have a great weekend! And see you again for Ruby Tuesday!
Enjoy!
XOXO LOLA:)

the first shot is so lovely and inviting. I just want to cozy up with my family in it.

The Simpson dinner made me laugh!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I just love the turkey with the eat beef sign. Animals love my place at Thanksgiving because I'm a vegetarian! I will be celebrating with the 3 F's of Thanksgiving--food, family, and fun! So glad you joined us for Thanksgiving!

I've only had turkey once, at a Christmas party. Delicious!

I'm not really into celebrations but when people invite my family, I just follow. So I basically celebrate whatever comes to me : )

The kids will be here and we'll have a scaled down Thanksgiving dinner. Turkey and a few side dishes, but I'm keeping it simple. We'll eat outside on the deck because the A/C is broken and it will be hot in the house with the oven on. We'll fix our plates buffet syle and carry them outside. It will be a little different. Last year was quite different. We had steak instead of turkey!

Hi Lola and Nora!! We go out for dinner on Thanksgiving...just my husband and I for a nice relaxing day! We love it!! Have a wonderful holiday and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!!

As we do'nt celebrate Thanksgiving here in the UK, I wont be eating turkey, however, hubby will be taking me to Lasan (my favourite restaurant). While all my american friends will be eating turkey, I'll be having lamb :) (thats a fair trade for me)

Ooo, that pumpkin cheesecake looks incredible! We won't be able to celebrate Thanksgiving with my family either but we're going to order out a Thanksgiving dinner from one of our favorite restaurants and just celebrate it by ourselves. Happy Thanksgiving to you!

What a terrific post! We celebrated with the phamily except for our oldest daughter and her brood. She had to work! :( But our meal was delightful and we ate turkey with all the trimmings and pie from Marie Callender, courtesy of our daughter!
We each tell what we are thankful for and shared a meal with my brother-in-law who is getting ready to leave for Alaska where he will work as a nurse. He is traveling near the border of Russia at the Artic Circle. Brrr....
Thank you for sharing today and enjoying all the American traditions with us here. You are such a gem! Anne

I loved this post.

It is a busy Saturday after Thanksgiving here but I'm so glad I stopped by for a smile and a big serving of cheer!

Thank you.

I'd like to go to the US for thanksgiving one day - I think until I do, it'll always just be this thing that happens to other people! (although I've learnt a lot about it through blogging)
