HIGH COLLARS AND FASHION TRENDS - WINTER / SPRING 2010/ 2011!

Dear readers, I am participating in Alphabe-Thursday where ‘H’ IS FOR *HIGH COLLARS* AND OTHER FASHION TRENDS – THIS WINTER/SPRING!

Here are some trends for this season and the next. Now, time to ‘fess up! I do tend to dress a bit conservatively and live (a lot) in trousers/jeans so I’m not totally sure about some of these trends. But hopefully they speak to you! Do tell me what you think!

KEY:
1. High Collars (above)
2. Sexy Turtlenecks (below)
3. Maxi Dresses
4. Military
5. Patchwork
6. Poncho
7. Quilting
8. Thigh-High Boots
9. Wide pants
10. Fringe
11. Gloves

WHAT’S YOUR TAKE ON THESE TRENDS? ANYTHING HERE FOR YOU?
Do tell me! And do check out other Alphabe-Thursday posts @ Jenny Matlock!
And, finally, thank you to all my dear readers and also new followers who visited or commented this week! Have a great weekend!
And see you again for Ruby Tuesday!
Enjoy!
XOXO LOLA:)

I need, want, crave tickets for each of these trend bandwagons...

The 'Military' and 'Thigh-High Boot' trends appeal particularly - though the latter, with their 'Lady of the Night' permutations, may require courage and a stiff drink to wear!

In all honesty, the only ones I could even vaguely imagine me ever being able to get away with wearing are the two William Rast ones. Those, I quite like :)

Nora, thanks once again for keeping us abreast of current fashion trends. Now if I only looked like a model...

I have worn all the fashion types here except the thigh-high boots. Would probably wear most of these again if I could but would pass up the thigh-high's boots forever.

I love Mizrahi's look you featured here. That just looks so chic and wearable and wonderful.

I'm always happy when I open your link. You put me in touch with a world that is so far from what I love, but that's exactly what makes Alphabe-Thursday such a wonderful journey each week.

Thank you for linking.

Hooray for you!

A+

I had a poncho when I was younger and loved it. I wonder if I could carry one off now.

Give me a pair of jeans and a t-shirt any day. :) I'm afraid I won't be wearing a turtle neck or high collar. I can't stand anything around my neck.

Every time I visit your blog I wish I were very tall and very thin. :)

I like the military look, to me it creates structure where there's none

I had a great trip. I am glad I have kept some of my old cloths, as I could never wear any of these.

At 5'2" with a short neck, I'l all about the V-neck!

Let's see....I'd go with the V Neck too!!! The Monique and the Versace!! Not that I personally could wear them....but they are nice!

I'm not a big fan of most of those looks. I really hated the high collars. Are those women afraid of vampires?

Those are definitely some interesting fashion trends! I'm too much of a jeans and t-shirt type of person so none of these trends really speak to me. They are definitely fun to look at though. I can't imagine myself in any of these since I'd totally make the clothes look frumpy and not too attractive. I wonder how much of this trend can be found in some of the trendier spots of Tokyo....hmmm, I must investigate. Thanks for sharing!

Oh to be tall and skinny.

I crave neither the clothes nor the emaciated looks. The only thing I could see myself wearing is the YSL pant suit or the Mizrahi jacket. I like high collars and turtlenecks too but what they show on the catwalks is mainly too far from elegant and functional for my tastes.

Fascinating to look at but give me a pair of jeans and a soft shirt and I'm in heaven.

There was a couple that I'd wear but for the most part it'll stay on the runway.

I'd never know what was "in" if I didn't stop by here.

Thanks for keeping me up to date!

Always interesting seeing your fashions. Was thinking the Chanel boots would be fun if I lived somewhere cold...

I adore the maxi dresses and military looks the most. I'm not really a fan of the turtleneck though, but I think that's something that never really goes out of style.

I actually do love a nice maxi dress. They are super comfy and flowy AND you can eat loads of food and it will hide your belly :D

Woof! Mine is H for Hoarding. Arf!

I can't wear any of those because: I'm a dog (whoppee), I'm male (darn!), although RED definitely looks good on me!

I am not a fan of the poncho ... cape ... caped sweater ... or any permeations of any of them ... i am loving the military reference in a lot of lines, also love thigh high boots, i wish i had the legs to pull them off!
