'Z' IS FOR ZARA ~ & OTHER HIGH STREET OUTLETS FOR SUMMER/ FALL TRENDS!

Dear readers, I am participating in Alphabe-Thursday where ‘Z’ is for Zara ~ and other high-street outlets for key Summer trends that are supposed to take you right through to Fall!

KEY:
1 Zara – Tunic Dress (left)
Gladiator sandals now; leggings or leather trousers later.
2 Zara - Jumpsuit
Add heels for evening
3 Topshop – Wedge Sandals
In colder weather, team these sculpted wedges with opaque tights
4 The Cambridge Satchel Company
~ The Batchel
Part satchel/ part backpack, this is apparently becoming very popular with the heralded end of the 'It' bag.
5 Mango – Pussy-bow Blouse
Team with leather, denim or wool in the Fall
6 Whistles – The Peg Trouser
Influenced by last season’s Celine collection, this trend is continuing through Summer 2010
7 Reiss – Denim Longer Length Skirt
Wear this Stella McCartney-inspired denim skirt with T shirts now, knits and leather boots in the Fall
8 French Connection – Graphic Print Dress
Wear now with sandals; later with tights, boots and cardigans
9 Marks & Spencers – Tan Shorts
Tan is the colour of the season according to Chloé. Layer with tights and coat in Fall
10 Reiss - Cape Coat
Warm camel version from Reiss

Even if you don't have these particular outlets near you, dear readers, these designs are on-trend and apparently widely available!

WHICH TRENDS WOULD YOU WEAR AND WHICH WOULD YOU AVOID AT ALL COSTS?!

Do tell me! Have a great Alphabe-Thursday! And check out other Alphabe-Thursday posts @ Jenny Matlock´s great site! See you for Six Word Saturday!
Enjoy!
XOXO LOLA:)

Adore the tunic dress and wedges are great too!Could wear them all year round.Such an entertaining post again!lol

Can't understand why anyone would want to wear such uncomfortable looking shoes as those wedges!Am I missing something?

But like the dresses & blouse though!

Good heavens - I thought I'd given away all that '70's stuff. Do you think that a designer might have shopped at the thrift shop for inspiration?
...I don't do bows anywhere near the bust;don't do peg leg pants as I'm already too short;don't do shoulder pads because of bust and being too short. Not much there for me!

Such a fun post! I love fashion! I like trendy looks but I love classics too... no more cute shorts like that for me anymore! I'm not in my 20's. At the knee or below! haha!

Have a lovely evening.

Hey, I just bought a pair of gladiator wedges! =D

I would avoid jumpsuits, somehow I don't really like them.. a little like pajamas?

Love the blue bag!

Hi Lola and Nora,

It is always great to come and see what you have to share.
I would wear the blouse with the bow and the denim skirt.

I hope that you are having a lovely week, dear friend.

Hi Lola,
Not the shorts, red shoes, trousers or jumpsuit but I'd try everything on at least so see if it suited.
Love the bag.
Great Z post.

Thanks for the fashion update. I have no idea what is popular right now. I pull on shorts and a t-shirt everyday to chase my toddler. It was really fun to see that the people in the know will be wearing.

Good Morning Nora,

I would wear and be perfectly comfortable in everything EXCEPT those shoes...LOL

Thanks for your visit to the farmhouse and for sharing the latest styles with us today. I do need to brush up on new styles, that's for sure!

Have a great day!

I love the bag, the longer denim skirt and the graphic print dress. My favorite is the cape coat, but it would not get much use in our climate (thank God!) I would avoid those shoes like the plague. They are adorable, but I'm one of those gals that can trip over the shag in carpet :) Kat

I can't find a single thing I'd wear. It's sad, really, when you get too old to adore fashion.
We went to Andalusia two years ago, and it reminded me a lot of AZ, but I tell you, it's way more picturesque there. Loved it. You're spoiled to live there. Spoiled, I say!

Vicki/Jake said...

HAHA....If I were younger I'd wear them all! Great fun here Lola :)

Lovely styles, I am not very trendy, I wear very classic styles and my favorites would be the coat and the purse. Not too hot on hte shoes, lovely color but I could not walk in them.

Stephanie V said...

Love, love, love the red shoes. But, alas, I don't think I could walk more than a few steps without tipping over. Now when I was just a little younger, I could have danced in them!

Oh my goodness Lola! I never knew you were a fashionista too! I'm going to have to vote for 1. Zara. Looks eztremely comfy and stylizh. Happy z day!

I don't get the full body outfits. The ones where the pants and shirt are all one thing and you look like you've just pulled on a jean version of the leotard.

I LOVE the Maxi-dresses, but my sister has informed me that I don't look good in them. ::sigh::

My favorite way to wear my jeans is with heels.

My favorite way to wear my hair is in a low bun (parted to the side)

and my favorite shirt is a 3/4 length sleeve of breathable black cotton (that fits nice and snug).

Thanks for coming by. Those clothes aren't for me!! lol.
If you get a chance, I finished my Z post this morning, adding an update that might drive you crazy.

Did not know about the Zara tunic dress...I read somewhere that one country (current) has a Princess Zara - beautiful name.... I am taking my Bichon to be groomed in a few minutes....cheers..bkm

I'd love the tunic dress, but shoes are a problem for me. I have trouble getting them to fit since I have a very narrow foot. I usually settle for something that will stay on my foot.

I can't believe the jump suit has returned. I had a couple when I was single and loved them.
I used to wear shoes like that but I think I'd kill myself now, ha.
I love the style of the dress but not so much the print.
I think the only thing I would possibly wear would be the coat.
Great Z post.

The trends i would most definitely stay away from are the playsuits/jumpsuits and the peg trouser... I cant imagine whom that would flatter!
*kisses* HH

the demin skirt looks good but I couldn't possibly wear the others

thanks for your visit

Sadly, the only thing that would work on my plump partridge body would be the purse!

Great stuff, though...

My fashion-conscious sister loves Zara -- and I do, too, if only I could afford it. Thanks for the fashion post -- loved the coat, shorts, bag and red shoes! Wish I could have them all. =D

Also, thanks for stopping by my blog and taking time to comment on my Zen Garden post. It's fun to *meet* interesting people through this meme.

I'm the t-shirt and jeans uniform girl. However, my Best is all into this, and probably will have some of these items soon. She's totally stylish, while I am...NOT. Still loved the post, though. It's neat to see what others like.

I had a similar school satchel, but in boring brown.

I wouldn't be seen dead in the paisley smock-like-top-thingy (oh, ok; 'Pussy-bow blouse'). I would look like a dressed up dog's dinner!

I am such a schlep.

The extent of my high style is wearing shoes with daisies on them.

I want to be stylish.

Oh, I do.

Especially when I visit your blog.

But then I go to the store and buy exactly what I bought last time.

Make you deal, OK?

If I ever get to go on a talk show or book tour or something I am going to hire you to tell me what to wear. OK?

Thanks for the smile and the fun stop on our little journey through Alphabe-Thursday's letter "Z".

A+

Thanks for the tips!
