*H* IS FOR *H*AUTE COUTURE!

Dear readers, I am participating in Alphabe-Thursday where ‘H’ IS FOR *H*AUTE COUTURE 2004-2010!
Recent coments by Claudia Schiffer (above) who says “You can’t be too overdressed or too sexy on the school run” or for running chores got me thinking about the sort of clothes she has doubtless in mind. Designer clothes! So, to help you, dear readers, when you’re next at a loss what to wear when popping out to the local supermarket but still want to be as “sexy” and groomed as Claudia, here are a few suggestions (some maybe already in Claudia’s closet!) in Part Two of this little Retrospective: Haute Couture 2004-2010 :

1. Dior, 2004 (below)
2. Ungaro, 2004
3. JP Gaultier, 2004

4. Chanel, 2006

5.Givenchy, 2006
6. Chanel 2007

7. Dior, 2007

8. Valentino, 2007

9. John Galliano at Dior, 2008
10. Lacroix, 2008 11. Valentino, 2008 12. Chanel, 2009
13. JP Gaultier, 2009

14. Dior, 2010 WHICH DESIGNER(S) DO CONSIDER THE MOST OUTSTANDING IN THIS PART OF THE LAST DECADE? ANYTHING HERE YOU COULD POP OUT TO THE SUPERMARKET IN?
Do tell me! And do check out other Alphabe-Thursday posts @
Jenny Matlock!
And, finally, thank you to all my dear readers who visited or commented.
Have a great weekend!
Enjoy!
XOXO LOLA:)

I don't get dressed up when I am doing chores. It seems so pointless. I love the way Claudia Schiffer and Dita Von Teese are always dressed up, but it also seems totally exhausting. THe people in my town are just not worth it LOL.
*kisses* HH

Oh Dear! I just can't see myself grocery shopping in those selections! haha ..hm...can't say that very many of them would work with any of my "chores and errands".
(But I do love Valentino's 2008 and someof Givenchy's 2006 and some of Chanel's 2006 designs.)

Blessings & Aloha!

Hmmm. I'm pretty sure no one will notice me if I wear these to my local supermarket. :)

Hi Nora and Lola,

Heads would certainly turn if one was to wear any of these beautiful dresses.
I love the romantic and pretty Chanel gowns.

Happy week

Thank you for taking time out from the fashion show and visiting my blog.

Oh definitely the #3 creation for the grocery store...wouldn't want to wear it to any place that has a revolving door though!

Chanel has to be the classic designer - especially her earlier fashions...timeless.

Great H post!

If I could afford those clothes I'd probably have my staff doing the grocery shopping.

Valentino and Chanel - *sigh*
Nothing there for grocery shopping in these parts - unless there was a gortex number with a hood.....

Hi there Lola and Nora! The chances of my wearing any of those things is quite slim as I do not exactly have Claudia Schiffer's figure! Chanel makes some nice designs!

One might think Lady Gaga to be a bit over the top until they remember the over the top element of haute couture. Loved this post.

Whoa, those are quite interesting to look at! I don't think I can ever see myself wearing any of those when I do my daily errands. It's much too fancy for me. Maybe for Halloween :) For me, I like simple clothes.

Chanel is probably my favorite, consistently. I guess I'm not too crazy with fashion since I generally get 99.9 percent of my clothes from Target!

I don't think that's too haute couture, but it makes me happy anyway!

Thanks for linking this week.

A+

OMG! I just don't know what to say, Nora, since I go to the grocery store in shorts and a tee shirt! The models always look so intense, don't they!

Gorgeous designs! I love most of what Dior, Chanel and Givenchy have done in the past years. But for the school run? Ha. For the price of these gowns you could buy entire schools!

This is too haute for me!

DAWN TO DUSK

Yellow’s the color I wear at dawn
When dancing dewdrops spangle the lawn.

Red is the color I wear at dusk
When earth and sky are dry as a husk

And nothing stirs—not even a wing
Of bat or swallow or anything!
