LADY GAGA OUT-"GAGA"ED?

Dear readers, this week *K* IS FOR ... *K*NOCK-OUT HATS!
But first it’s ‘fess up time. I don’t do hats. Never have. Ever since being forced at school to wear one both winter (felt with brim) and summer (straw boater)! Consequently, I’ve avoided wearing them since (except for, umm, special occasions when hats – or at least fascinators - were obligatory!) Now, where was I? Oh yes! Where best to go for inspiration regarding hats that, were one to have to wear them, would get one noticed and be, err, *K*nock-out! Where else but …Lady Gaga!
Here are some recent examples:
1+2. For her single ‘Telephone’ (above & below) 3. For Bambi Awards, Germany 2011 4. ‘Sperm’ hat, by Philip Treacy, London 2011

5. Diamond hat by Philip Treacy
6.With Philip Treacy7. Fascinator 20098. Fedora9.Lobster hat, Philip Treacy 2010

And some more of the same:
And finally, has Lady Gaga been out-“Gaga”ed? What do you think? Here’s Uggie … and his hat: APART FROM WINTER HEADGEAR, DO YOU WEAR HATS? OR JUST FOR SPECIAL OCCASIONS? Do check out other Alphabe-Thursday posts @ Jenny Matlock.
And, finally, thank you to all my dear readers who have visited or commented.
Enjoy,
XOXO LOLA:)

Wow, Great post! The royal wedding had a lot of unusual hats also, but none quite like these knockouts!

When I was showing horses, I wore a cowboy hat and I sometimes wear a hat in the winter, but otherwise I steer clear.

Fun looking at the crazy headgear!!!

I am a huge fan of Philip Treacy's work ... he has truly elevated hat to such a huge artistic level. I would kill for one of his hats or fascinators!!!

W A YYYYY to weird for me!! I only wear visors in the summer to shade my face from the sun! I'm not a hat person...never have been. She reminds me of Madonna in her younger days!!

I had so much fun looking at these hats - that woman is wild, isn't she?

We don't have a cold winter, so I don't even wear one then. I think Lady GaGa would fit right in at the next Royal wedding.

Hi Lola and Nora,

I enjoyed your post and seeing all these hats, of Lady Gaga, some I like and some not.
I actually love hats, and have a few.
Uggie looks ever so sweet in his hat.

Happy weekend

How disappointing - I didn't find a single hat here original enough to wear to the wedding in May!

Wow. You're right...these are knockout hats!

And I'd have to be knocked out to wear these, or any hat! I don't like anything on my head. Even if it's the dead of winter!

But I did smile looking at all these pictures!

Thanks for that!

Hugs and A+

Loved this post because I am a HUGE Lady GA Ga fan! I do not wear hats but I LOVE her shock drama style when she is Lady Ga Ga. It is her show persona and when she is Stephanie Germanato, she is a different person. Her Thanksgiving Day special was fantastic and gave everyone more of a chance to see who she really is.She just helped her Dad realize one of his life long dreams of owning an Italian restaurant in NYC. All entree's served are from her family's Italian recipes. Her Mom and her just started the Born this Way foundation and campaign against Anti Bullying Since Ga Ga herself was a victim of bullying when she was in school. Thanks for this great post on such an inspiring woman!

Hugs,
Deb

I just love Lady Gaga and the hats you show are so over-the-top fabulous! I must say, though, that I'm not so sure about the lobster hat ; )
I never wear hats myself!!

Well Lady Gaga pushes the limits. She is very talented but I usually don't watch her, she's too over the top for me. I do wear hats as much as I can, love them.

I love hats! These hats are really interesting. What I like about Lady Gaga is the fact that she thinks bullying should be punishable by law! SO many lonely kids turn to her music. It is sch a sad world but she has a kind heart. I think she knows the painful heartache of being bullied. Beautiful hats and you are always so much fun to share with! Hugs Anne
