I just wish I could grow Bird of Paradise plants where I live! Lovely photos.
Love the milk advertisement with the cats!
Seeing those adverts reminds me why I eat chocolate.... It's good for me
Bird of paradise plants looks really beautiful. Ooooh! Vintage adverts are so cute. I love Ribena!
Hugs to you and lola xx
What beautiful flowers! I think they would be fun to grow, but I don't think they would like my winters.
Such a beautiful flower! Love these vintage advertisements!
Nice adds. I like some of the older vintage illustrations.
beautiful!
Hahaha! I LOVE all these old ads! I have a set of dessert dishes with ads on them.
When we lived in Tucson, I had a strelitzia with blue flowers. Wish I could have brought it with me.

Flowers are beautiful and the ads too make me smile. Love the little guy under the table!
That was fun!
Bird's custard is a staple in my pantry, to this day.
I like vintage too and enjoyed seeing those old ads. Does anyone drink Ovaltine any more? Do they still make it? I remember having it as a child.
I love the bird of paradise flower. I wish you a lovely weekend!
I saw the fly, but I couldn't quite see its shadow! ;)
It looks life a very muddy pond in your shadow shot.
These 'birds' are lovely, their plumage and beaks offer us a stylish being in either flora or fauna...love the old ads, especially the one from one cat to another. Although fish is probably more nutritious for felines than milk. IMO, as of course I am not a cat :)
Unsure about the health benefits of blackcurrant juice. Unless fortified by vodka or champagne? The promises of any or all of these products are maybe lust a little bit exaggerated in those days of yore!
enjoyable glimpse of a warmer place!
Cheers!
Perfect blooms for celebration!
thanks so much for sharing it with us at Our Beautiful World!
Beautiful Birds of Paradise… they do not grow here so this is a treat! Thanks for sharing the love up-close with I Heart Macro:-)

Hello Lola,
The Bird of Paradise was a favorite bloom of my aunt. These are outstanding examples, and yes, I spotted the fly! Thanks for sharing.

I love birds of paradise ... so different and so lovely. I really enjoyed the vintage ads. Fun!
The Birds of Paradise flowers are stunning, and so floriferous! They really do look like bird's heads. I enjoyed all your old vintage food labels too.
What lovely flowers!
Calling by from Macro Monday, love those flowers!
The B O P is such a beauty!! I have one lone plant, and it's so dense it rarely blooms. Yours on the other hand is just filled with gorgeousness.
Happy Blue Monday greeting from Australia♥ ~Pernilla
Love those vintage ads, especially those sporting red!
