HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Last time I was a bit late due to all the festivities so am now relinking (with some recent scenes from around the world) to wish all my dear readers a very Happy New Year! Apologies if you've already caught this post!
Here they are:
Sydney (above)
London
Paris New YorkRome Madrid And may all your hopes and wishes for Christmas be granted, though we may not expect to come across much of the following this year - traditional Christmas gifts which may literally become a thing of the past:
Gold - Prices have soared as the economic crisis continues. The current price is £1,029.20 an ounce:

Frankincense - The tree which makes the resin faces extinction due to overgrazing and insect attacks:

Myrrh - Drought may have had an impact onthe growth of the thorny tree from which the resin comes: WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR THE SEASON?

Do check out other Alphabe-Thursday posts @ Jenny Matlock!
And, finally, thank you to all my dear readers who have visited or commented. And to new followers too. Have a great weekend!
Enjoy, and Happy New Year!
XOXO LOLA:)

Our 2 1/2 year old twin grandchildren are coming with their parents to spend Christmas with us. It has been a long time since Santa has visited our home!

Cheers, my dear!!

Oh how I love all the light displays at Christmas time, and you showed some great ones. I've already had an early Christmas with my grown kids and family so mine will be a quiet, comfy one. Enjoy yours:)

Great pictures from around the world! This year is low key for us. My parents will come here. But I work on Saturday as well as play the organ for the Christmas Eve service. Busy day for me. May crash on Sunday. But I do get Monday off to recoup!

Great New Year post. If I must choose, I think that the fireworks over Sydney were the most spectacular. Such a high sky to exhibit the cleverly directed light show.
The best of wishes for the new year.
